“There's no greater gift than thinking that you had some impact on the world, for the better.”
Gloria Steinem

Mission Statement

Started in 2018, The Deborah Buck Foundation is primarily focused on arts institutions that have shown a commitment to the exhibition and support of women makers. While the foundation is interested in all cultural entities, it seeks those that most effectively support artistic excellence and critical thinking by women. The Deborah Buck Foundation will work to encourage making a difference in the matter of inclusiveness for women within the cultural landscape.

Deborah Buck is an artist, author, entrepreneur, designer and philanthropist. She has been a fine artist for her entire life and has been exhibiting her work regularly since 1980. She maintains active painting studios both in New York City and Sagaponack, New York.

Buck recognizes and appreciates the support of the many forward thinking institutions and individuals who gave her confidence as a woman to challenge the boundaries of both everyday life and most importantly, the boundaries in her career as an artist.

The Deborah Buck Foundation is dedicated to Deborah’s mother, Sue Ellen Dalsemer, who above all, encouraged Deborah’s creativity as an artist and was a tremendous advocate for the importance of a cultural conscience.

The Deborah Buck Foundation does not accept solicitations for grants. Tax exemption pending.
